Welcome to South Royalton School. This is the educational home of 380 students in grades kindergarten through 12. That age range is just one of the things that makes our school such a unique, vibrant community in which to learn.
We hold each other to high standards here. The teachers expect a lot from students: they expect them to attend to their studies, to challenge themselves and peers, to respect themselves and everyone at the school. Students, in turn, expect a lot from their teachers; classroom leadership, interesting and intriguing approaches to education and course material, appreciation of diverse learning styles, attention. And, of course, parents want the very best education for their kids.
It’s important to have high expectations for your education and it’s important for your school to meet them. At South Royalton School, small classes and low student/teacher ratios ensure individual attention. High school, middle school, and elementary school students regularly interact to reinforce and inspire learning. (The elementary school kids love it when their high school friends work with them on reading and math!) We also offer a wide range of Advanced Placement courses along with college preparatory and vocational electives to make sure that everyone’s goals and aspirations are supported.
There is always a lot happening here at South Royalton School. This website will introduce you to our academic program, student activities, school policies, alumni programs, community relationships and the work of our School Board. It’s also a great way for students and parents to access day-to-day information and class web pages. If we’ve missed anything, please give us a call.
